Product Overview:

Heavy-duty hexagonal head screws have a thread diameter of 3/8 inch to 6 inch and are usually made of high-strength alloy. Heavy-duty hexagonal head screws with larger heads and stronger rods are able to withstand higher tension and shear forces for tighter connections requiring higher strength. Widely used in bridge engineering, construction engineering, machinery and equipment, energy industry and other fields.

Carbon Steel ASME/ANSI B18.2.1-7-2012 Heavy hex bolts-Table7 Details

Heavy-duty hex screws are generally made of high-strength steel or other high-strength alloy materials, which have deeper and thicker threads than ordinary hex screws, thus achieving a stronger grip and ensuring excellent mechanical properties and durability.

Functional characteristics
  • Strong hardness: The use of high-strength steel and special alloys, quenching, tempering and other multiple hardening process, to achieve top mechanical properties.
  • Large size design: Larger volume and stronger thread than conventional screws, suitable for high strength fastening needs.
  • Corrosion resistant coating: usually after electroplating, spraying and other treatment, effectively resist the harsh environment erosion, extend the service life.

Application
  • Heavy industry equipment: large machinery and equipment, mining machinery, oil drilling platform and other key parts of the connection.
  • Infrastructure construction: Bridges, tunnels, high-rise buildings, wind power towers and other important structures fixed.
  • Transportation: high-strength connection of railway tracks, ship construction, and aviation components.
